The General History Project: I'm working with my friend Laura Lee to help her raise funding for a project in Kenya. The General History Project is a non-profit entity committed to preserving international history through recording the life stories of aging community leaders in their own words. By allowing access to these primary sources, we promote cultural awareness and enrich the lives of all people, young and old. Please continue to check this website as well as her blog to learn how to get involved!

Service Science, Management & Engineering: Last October, I gave a lecture for a course on Service Science (Professor Michael Gorman) in the Science, Technology & Society department at the University of Virginia (my alma mater, SEAS 05'). The presentation was on Designing for Service Systems. My paper on the topic is in the UC-Berkeley library system; you can download the paper here and the slides here. I wrote the paper while in graduate school, and put the presentation together for the Frontiers in Service Conference held in San Francisco in 2007.

Women 2.0 Business Plan Competition 2008: Napkin Business Challenge: My friend Debbie and I entered our idea for ITSkillShop into the Women 2.0 competition and made it into the Top 5; we presented last May 2008. Unfortunately, momentum and interest (on our parts) for the project fizzled since

Citation in Adaptive Path's New Book: My work I did under Professor Bob Glushko was also cited in Adaptive Path's new book: Subject to Change: Creating Great Products & Services for an Uncertain World: Adaptive Path on Design. The paper they cited can be downloaded here.
