E-Commerce with a Twist
This client represents the future of e-commerce and the sharing economy. On their site, women can search items based on normal options like size, color, and brand. Unlike other sites, the women have to share their zip code and the dates on which they need the item. That’s because this site facilitates women sharing their closets with other women.
The team wanted to reduce time spent on customer service and address clear usability hurdles in their interface. The challenge was to explain to women that the zip code and calendar dates were crucial for identifying the item they’d like to rent. For this design, I wrote all new copy that slowly revealed new information on each page teaching the shopper how the product works.
For this design, I wrote all new copy that slowly revealed new information on each page teaching the shopper how the product works. I also made the date & zip code options abundantly clear on the Browse Products page so that these options stuck out and attracted attention.
